Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. All sessions are available via secure telehealth. Telehealth is available for clients located in Texas, Maryland, Arkansas, and New Mexico. In-person sessions are available in the Katy and Houston, TX area.

What is a free 15-minute consultation, and what happens on that call?

It is a no-pressure phone call of about 15 minutes where you and Valerie can get a sense of each other before committing to anything. You can share a little about what is going on, ask any questions you have about the process or insurance, and feel out whether this is the right fit. There is no intake paperwork, no clinical assessment, and no obligation. It is just a conversation. If it feels right for both of us, you will schedule a first session from there.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you are asking this question, that is usually a sign you are already ready to explore it. Therapy is not only for people in crisis. It is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, work through something that has been weighing on them, or build a more grounded and connected life. You do not need a diagnosis.
